PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The IS 884 model combines a rotating reel, a swing bracket and a swivel water passage. The bracket allows the reel to move toward the required deployment direction while the hose unwinds from the drum.

WORKING PRINCIPLE & USE
Deploy. Control.
Rewind.
Water passes from the fixed supply through the swivel joint into the hose while the drum rotates. A fitted shut-off nozzle controls discharge; the hose is rewound manually after use.
Inspect and prepare
Check the reel, hose, mounting and fittings before use. Confirm the isolation valve is closed before preparing the assembly.
Deploy and control
Unwind the hose smoothly, open the water supply and operate the fitted shut-off nozzle according to the equipment instructions and site procedure. Adjust the pattern only where the nozzle provides that function.
Close and rewind
After use, close the nozzle and isolation valve. Drain the hose and rewind it neatly onto the drum, checking the assembly before returning it to service.
INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE
Keep the reel
ready for service.
Inspect the reel monthly and check the hose, swivel, mounting and fitted controls as part of the equipment maintenance programme.
01Monthly inspection
- Check for corrosion, damage and loose fasteners.
- Inspect the hose for cuts, abrasion, cracks and leakage.
- Check the mounting and the condition of the fitted components.
02Rotation, swivel and controls
- Operate the reel periodically to check free rotation and smooth hose deployment.
- Check the swivel joint for leaks and lubricate moving parts where required.
- Verify operation of the isolation valve and shut-off nozzle.
03Testing and return to service
- Carry out periodic pressure testing in accordance with the applicable fire safety standard and the selected assembly instructions.
- Clean the reel and hose after use and rewind the hose neatly.
- Replace damaged hoses, seals or swivel components before returning the equipment to service.
