FROZENFIRE · HIGH EXPANSION
High-expansion foam. Two operating modes.
A water-driven high expansion foam generator with a reinforced-plastic enclosure and normal / bypass operating data for integration into an engineered firefighting system.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The HX Maxi combines a compatible foam solution with airflow from an integrated water-driven axial fan. Solution is distributed across the foam-generating section, where airflow expands it before discharge into the protected space.
The catalogue describes a fixed-system installation with a painted reinforced-plastic enclosure, fan guard and internal distribution piping. Normal and bypass-open modes have separate water-consumption and foam-output values; the selected mode must be considered in the system duty.
Separate normal and bypass-open performance data support selection of the water-supply and discharge arrangement.
A bronze water turbine drives the aluminium-alloy axial fan assembly.
GRP body with protective painted finish, fan guard and internal copper pipe assembly.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

High expansion foam generator
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Product | HX Maxi Foam Generator |
| Type | High expansion foam generator |
| Body / enclosure | GRP; FRP enclosure described in the overview |
| Pipe assembly | Copper |
| Water turbine | Bronze |
| Fan assembly | Aluminium alloy |
| Spray nozzles | Gun metal / brass |
| Inlet connection | 2½″ instantaneous male — gun metal / SS 304 |
| Bypass connection | 2½″ instantaneous female — gun metal / SS 304 |
| Fan drive | Water-driven axial fan |
| Normal-mode expansion | 500–600 times, as stated in the catalogue |
| Bypass-open expansion | 800–1,000 times, as stated in the catalogue |
| Smoke-extraction figure | Approximately 280 m³/min at 7 bar inlet pressure |
| Installation | As part of an engineered fixed firefighting system |
| Finish | Protective painted finish |
Foam output and expansion depend on the foam concentrate, water supply, airflow and installation. The performance table uses kg/cm² for inlet pressure; the separate smoke-extraction note uses bar. Smoke-extraction airflow is not foam output.

CONSTRUCTION
Component materials and arrangement from the selected product catalogue.
GRP in the component specification; described as FRP in the product overview. Protective painted finish.
Copper pipe assembly and gun-metal / brass spray nozzles distribute solution to the foam-generating section.
Bronze water turbine, aluminium-alloy fan assembly and protective fan guard.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Working principle from the HX Maxi overview. Installation and operating instructions should be confirmed for the selected system.
Compatible foam solution enters the internal distribution piping and reaches the foam-generating section.
The water-driven axial fan provides the airflow used to expand the solution across the screen or generating medium.
Expanded foam leaves the generator through the selected arrangement. System performance depends on the supplied solution, airflow and installation.
CONFIGURATION & ENQUIRIES
Confirm the generator, proportioning, connections and installation together.
Select normal or bypass-open operation and review both the foam-generation and bypass-water requirements at the selected inlet pressure.
Identify the compatible concentrate, protected hazard, enclosure volume, air supply and foam discharge arrangement.
Confirm the 2½″ inlet and bypass interfaces, mounting and system controls. Automatic or manual activation depends on the project’s fire-protection design.
Share the protected volume and hazard, selected operating mode, available inlet pressure, concentrate, water supply, connections, mounting details, quantity and delivery location.
APPLICATIONS
Application areas identified in the catalogue. Final suitability depends on the hazard, concentrate and approved system design.
