PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Driven by water.
Built for dewatering.

The Turbo Pump uses the energy of a pressurised water supply to drive an internal turbine and centrifugal impeller. This arrangement transfers accumulated water through the pump and into the discharge hose, supporting dewatering and emergency water-transfer operations.

Its portable construction is intended for deployment in locations such as flooded basements, cable trenches, utility pits, construction sites and marine compartments. The catalogue lists clean water, floodwater, muddy water and light industrial water as pumped media.

01

Hydraulic drive

Driving water supplied by a hydrant, fire pump or water system powers the turbine and impeller assembly.

02

Portable assembly

The compact pump body, designated lifting points and instantaneous connections support transport and deployment.

03

Strainer and impeller

Water enters through the suction strainer and is transferred by the centrifugal impeller through the volute casing.

PROJECT CONFIGURATION

Specify the pump
with the full picture.

Share the water source, driving supply, connection requirements and intended duty with your enquiry.

01

Driving-water supply

Provide the available driving-water pressure and supply arrangement, together with the required pumped flow and discharge head.

02

Materials and connections

Specify the body, impeller and adaptor materials. Confirm the mating coupling sizes and standards for the selected pump.

03

Deployment conditions

Describe the liquid, solids or debris, discharge hose arrangement and intended installation. The catalogue operating procedure calls for a submerged suction strainer.

Discuss this pump

Include the quantity, delivery location and any drawings or documentation requirements.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Turbine energy.
Impeller-driven transfer.

A hydraulic turbine converts driving-water energy into rotation of the pump assembly.

01

Driving water

Pressurised water enters the turbo inlet and transfers energy to the hydraulic turbine.

02

Impeller rotation

The turbine drives the impeller, drawing accumulated water through the suction strainer.

03

Water transfer

The impeller accelerates the water into the volute casing for discharge through the outlet hose.

Operation and deployment

The catalogue describes operation with the suction strainer submerged, a continuous driving-water supply and observation of discharge flow, pressure and pump condition. Refer to pages 2–3 for inspection, installation, starting and shutdown instructions.

INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE

Care for the pump
through its service life.

Maintenance intervals summarised from page 4 of the Turbo Pump catalogue. Follow the supplied instructions for the selected assembly.

01Daily
  • Clean the pump exterior and flush the internal passages with clean water.
  • Remove debris from the suction strainer; inspect couplings, seals and visible leaks.
02Weekly
  • Inspect the turbine chamber and verify free impeller rotation.
  • Check bolts, fasteners, lifting points, seals and gaskets.
03Monthly
  • Inspect the impeller for wear or erosion and the volute casing for corrosion.
  • Check turbine performance, clean flow passages and inspect bearings where fitted.
04Annually
  • Arrange a complete internal inspection, including the turbine and impeller.
  • Replace worn seals, gaskets or damaged impellers as required; pressure-test the casing and perform a full operational test.
