PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Two patterns. One manual control.

The Fog Nozzle provides a concentrated jet or a dispersed fog pattern through a manually operated selector. Marked CLOSED, FOG and JET positions help the operator identify the required mode.

Gunmetal and stainless steel constructions are listed with a polished metallic finish. The catalogue also describes an aluminium applicator for low-velocity fog delivery, with a stated 225 LPM flow and 4.5 m range. Confirm the required applicator and coupling with the nozzle configuration.

01

Marked positions

Closed, fog and jet settings on the pattern selector.

02

Jet delivery

Concentrated water discharge from the solid jet head.

03

Fog delivery

Dispersed spray for suitable cooling and exposure-protection duties.

04

Applicator configuration

An aluminium fog applicator is described for compatible use.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION

Manual selection in a metallic body.

The body, control handle and selector form the nozzle assembly; the catalogue describes a separate compatible fog applicator.

APPLICATIONS

Where the nozzle fits.

Review the intended duty and installation requirements when selecting the product configuration.

  • 01Industrial and manufacturing facilities
  • 02Warehouses and commercial premises
  • 03Fire tenders and response equipment
  • 04Cooling exposed equipment and structures
  • 05Compatible hydrant and hose systems

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

How the nozzle works.

The selector changes the water discharge between a concentrated jet, dispersed fog and the closed position. Use the selected pattern according to the site operating procedure.

01

Closed

Stop nozzle discharge using the marked position.

02

Fog

Select a dispersed water pattern for the specified duty.

03

Jet

Select the concentrated water stream when appropriate to the application.

Before, during and after use.

Review the catalogue operating guidance with the instructions for your selected model and the applicable site procedures.

01Inspect & prepare
  • Check the body, coupling, seals and free movement of the selector.
  • Secure the compatible hose and establish stable footing before pressurising.
02Select & operate
  • Open the supply gradually and maintain control of the hose reaction.
  • Move the designated control to the required marked position without forcing it. Monitor pressure and discharge.
03Shutdown
  • Follow the approved shutdown procedure, isolate upstream and relieve residual pressure.
  • Never loosen a coupling while pressurised. Drain, inspect and clean after use.

INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE

Keep the nozzle
ready for service.

Inspect the waterway, connection and operating components as part of the equipment’s maintenance programme.

01After use
  • Flush with clean water and clear discharge openings.
  • Inspect the body, coupling, seals and selector, then drain and dry.
02Periodic service
  • Check selector movement, handle security and sealing surfaces.
  • Replace worn components with approved parts; lubricate only where specified.
03Testing & records
  • Use a controlled arrangement for functional, leakage and flow checks.
  • Record inspections and repairs. Remove defective equipment from service until cleared.
04Storage
  • Store clean, dry and accessible, protected against impact and contamination.
  • Keep the coupling and discharge openings clear.
