PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Direct control at the branch.

The Hand Control Nozzle combines straight-jet delivery, a protective spray pattern and shut-off in a London Pattern branch. A centre-mounted lever selects the mode while the two side grips support controlled handling of the hose line.

The removable jet tip is available with 12, 16 or 20 mm orifices. Specify gunmetal or stainless steel construction together with the tip size and hose coupling required for the application.

01

Central control

Select jet, spray or shut-off using the operating lever.

02

Dual side grips

Side handles provide a stable hand position during discharge.

03

Removable jet tips

Choose 12, 16 or 20 mm orifices for the required duty.

04

Material options

Gunmetal and SS 304 / SS 316 with a polished finish.

APPLICATIONS

Where the nozzle fits.

Review the intended duty and installation requirements when selecting the product configuration.

  • 01Marine and offshore firefighting
  • 02Industrial hose systems
  • 03Municipal fire services
  • 04Chemical plant fire protection

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

How the nozzle works.

The central lever changes the internal flow path to produce a concentrated jet, a dispersed spray or a closed position.

01

Connect

Secure the compatible hose coupling with the supply isolated.

02

Select

Use the central lever to choose the marked operating mode.

03

Discharge

Maintain firm control using the side grips and open the supply gradually.

Before, during and after use.

Review the catalogue operating guidance with the instructions for your selected model and the applicable site procedures.

01Prepare
  • Inspect the inlet, locking shoulders and hose washer. Secure the coupling before pressurising.
  • Set the lever to shut-off and confirm that the hose team is ready.
02Control the discharge
  • Select jet or spray using the designated lever. Maintain a secure grip and stable footing.
  • Move the lever slowly when opening or closing to limit water hammer.
03Finish
  • Isolate the supply and relieve pressure before disconnecting or removing the tip.
  • Flush, drain and inspect the branch before storage.

INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE

Keep the nozzle
ready for service.

Inspect the waterway, connection and operating components as part of the equipment’s maintenance programme.

01After use
  • Flush with fresh water, particularly after saline or contaminated-water exposure.
  • With the supply isolated, inspect the tip and waterway for debris; clean with a soft brush.
02Monthly checks
  • Check free movement of the lever and inspect the coupling washer and seals.
  • Lubricate the specified pivots and moving parts with a compatible lubricant.
03Service & storage
  • Replace worn seals or damaged tips with suitable parts. Investigate stiffness or leakage before reuse.
  • Drain and keep the nozzle in a clean, dry equipment rack.
